Safeguard Europe is seeking a talented Digital Designer with strong front-end development skills to join our creative team. This role is crucial in producing visually compelling and technically sound digital assets for various platforms, including websites, social media, and email campaigns. The successful candidate will combine creative design with technical expertise in front-end development to help us elevate our digital presence and enhance user experiences. The successful candidate will be proactive in identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions while also seeking opportunities to enhance their skills through the company’s commitment to supporting professional development.

Duties:

  • Design & Front-End Development: Create and implement digital assets such as banners, social media graphics, email templates, and responsive web pages. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces, ensuring they are visually appealing and functional.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay committed to self-improvement by keeping up with the latest design and development trends, tools, and techniques. Engage in professional development opportunities provided by the company to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Problem Solving: Actively identify design and technical challenges, and develop creative, effective solutions to overcome them. Use your problem-solving skills to enhance the functionality and user experience of digital assets.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay updated on digital design trends and continuously explore new practices to enhance user experience.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with marketing and product teams to deliver creative solutions that meet project requirements.

Skills required:

  • Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
  • Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g. Figma).
  • Strong front-end development skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in responsive and cross-browser design.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Craft CMS).
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility standards, and SEO principles as they relate to front-end development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
