About Mooch:
Mooch is a creative digital studio delivering high-impact marketing and digital solutions for a diverse range of clients. We blend strategic insight with standout creative work.

Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced designer to join Mooch as a Digital Designer. This is a hands-on design role working across digital, brand, campaign, social, web and print projects. You will take briefs from the Production Services team and turn them into clear, well-crafted creative that works. You will work closely with the Art Director, designers, developers, account handlers and the wider studio team. This will be a client-facing role at times, so strong presentation skills and the confidence to explain your thinking are important. We need someone who can think, design and execute. Someone who understands that strong design is not just about making something look good. It needs to communicate clearly, solve a problem and support the client’s goals. This role would suit someone keen to grow, take on more responsibility and progress into a more senior creative role over time.

The Role: You will be part of the creative studio team, working on a wide range of client projects. One day, you might be designing a social campaign. The next, you could be working on a website layout, brand concept, digital advert, email campaign, client presentation, brochure or video-led campaign asset. This role needs someone with solid agency experience. You should understand how a studio works, how deadlines move, how client feedback is handled and how to keep creative work moving without needing every step explained. You will need a basic understanding of social media and marketing. You do not need to be a strategist, but you should understand how design fits into wider campaigns across different platforms, audiences and formats.

Key Responsibilities: Creating design work for digital, print, brand, web, social and campaign projects. Taking creative briefs and turning them into clear, effective design concepts. Working closely with the Art Director to develop creative ideas and visual direction. Designing assets for websites, social media, email campaigns, paid media, brochures, presentations, signage and other marketing materials. Supporting social media and marketing campaigns with strong, platform-appropriate creative. Working within existing brand guidelines and developing creative that feels fresh without going off-brand. Presenting creative work internally and to clients when required. Explaining design decisions clearly and professionally. Supporting the studio with layout, typography, image selection and visual execution. Preparing artwork for print and digital delivery. Collaborating with account handlers, designers, developers and other team members. Managing your own workload and keeping project timelines on track. Taking feedback from clients and internal teams, then applying it accurately. Checking your own work before it goes out. Bringing ideas to the table, not just waiting for instructions. Staying aware of design trends, social media formats, digital platforms and creative best practices. Helping maintain the quality and consistency of Mooch’s creative output. Supporting the wider studio team when needed.

What You Need: At least 4 years of experience working within an agency environment. Proven experience as a graphic designer, digital designer or similar creative role. A strong portfolio showing creative thinking, digital design, layout skills and attention to detail. Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience designing for both digital and print. Basic social media and marketing experience. An understanding of how design supports campaigns, content and wider client objectives. A solid understanding of typography, layout, colour and brand consistency. The ability to take a brief and develop creative ideas that answer it properly. Strong presentation skills and the confidence to talk through creative work. Good communication skills and the ability to explain your design decisions clearly. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once. A practical approach to deadlines, feedback and amendments. A positive, forward-thinking attitude. A desire to grow, improve and progress into a more senior role.

Nice to Have: Experience with Figma, XD or similar digital design tools. Experience creating assets for organic and paid social media campaigns. Experience working with video or creating assets for video-led campaigns. Basic motion graphics or animation skills. Understanding of website design and user experience. Experience working with developers or digital teams. A full UK driving licence would be preferred, as travel to client meetings will be required.

Who This Role Would Suit: This role would suit an experienced designer who wants variety, responsibility and room to grow. You might be an established midweight designer ready for more ownership. You might already be working across digital, brand and campaign work and want a clearer path towards a senior creative role. Either way, we are looking for someone who can bring strong ideas, sharp execution and a proper understanding of how design supports marketing.

Are you ready to bring creative thinking, digital confidence and client-facing energy to Mooch?
