Job Description
Information Tech Consultants Ltd is looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in London. In this role, you will design, automate, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure while supporting CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable AWS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Manage version control using Git.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Provision infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud environments.
- Follow cloud security, compliance, and infrastructure best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
- Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Practical experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, Git, and Linux.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting language.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Educational Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or another related STEM discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
Preferred
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
- Experience working in Agile and consulting environments.
