Brief job description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to begin their career in web design as part of a structured apprenticeship programme. The Apprentice Web Designer will work alongside our experienced digital team to support the design, development, and maintenance of websites, while gaining hands-on skills in WordPress and building on their customer-facing experience.You will receive on-the-job training and mentoring, alongside any formal qualification requirements associated with your apprenticeship standard. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, technically curious, and passionate about delivering excellent digital experiences.

Job Description:

We are an Essex Based Digital Marketing Agency that is expanding its team, and we are looking to hire a Marketing Apprentice to join our young and dynamic team, that at its core is looking to build one of the best companies to work with its culture. We look to do company outings and many other social events to celebrate business goals.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

Web Design & WordPress

• Assist in the design, build, and maintenance of websites using WordPress CMS
• Create and update web pages, blog posts, and landing pages under the guidance of senior team members
• Support the implementation of page layouts, themes, and plugins in WordPress
• Help ensure all web content is accessible, mobile-friendly, and on-brand
• Perform basic testing of web pages across browsers and devices to identify display issues
• Assist with image editing, resizing, and optimisation for web use
• Support SEO best practices when publishing and updating web content

Customer Service & Communication

• Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders requesting web updates or digital support
• Respond to queries and requests in a professional, timely, and helpful manner
• Liaise with colleagues across departments to gather content and requirements for web projects
• Support the team in managing client or stakeholder feedback on website changes
• Contribute to a positive team environment by maintaining a helpful and professional attitude

General & Administrative

• Attend and actively participate in team meetings and apprenticeship review sessions
• Keep accurate records of tasks, project updates, and learning progress
• Adhere to company brand guidelines, data protection policies, and digital best practices
• Undertake any training or coursework required as part of the apprenticeship standard
• Support wider digital and marketing projects as directed by your line manager

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3

Digital Marketing and AI Executive and Certified Digital Marketing Professional by

DMI, with training in how to:

• Master the art of crafting compelling content tailored for diverse audiences and a variety of marketing channels, ensuring sensitivity and effectiveness in communication.
• Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
• Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
• Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
