Job Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and customer driven Online Manager to join our small existing team. The successful candidate will manage and develop existing E-Commerce platforms and as well as actively growing new business. This is a great opportunity for someone who is hands on and can the business platforms and be a vital team member in pushing sales to the next level. Within our businesses we have a 60 year old established brand 'Peter Beales Roses' that has over 100,000 customers and an amazing 31 RHS Chelsea Gold Medals.

Key tasks will include:

• Shopify & Website Development

Full management of Shopify, including all back office, collections and general site maintenance. Building new features and improving existing ones to help increase sales, conversion rates and average order value. Making changes and updates requested by people in the team. Converse with customer services to keep our excellent track record. Working with the team to improve product information and stock data. Troubleshooting issues and continually looking for ways to improve the website and customer journey.

• Advertising & Marketing

Managing and improving Google and Meta advertising within the team requirements. Reviewing performance weekly and making changes where needed. Working with the team on advertising creative and campaigns designed to convert. Using Claude to assist with analysing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Amazon & Other Sales Channels

Developing and Supporting product listings, data, stock and integration issues where required. Enable order flow between Shopify and our fulfilment systems.

• AI & Building Tools

Using AI tools to help analyse data, solve problems and improve how we work. Building tools, automations and applications to make processes easier and more efficient.

• Customer Service Support

Helping Customer Service with technical issues, complaints and escalated customer enquiries. Answering questions and helping resolve problems when needed.

• Picking, Packing & Stock

Supporting the team with shipping platforms and the operations of picking and packing

• General IT, Admin & EPOS Support

Helping across the business team with support in associated platforms on both the retail and commercial side of the business.

Key Skills:

• Full operational experience with Shopify
• Experience with pick and pack software
• Experience of Claude and ChatGPT
• Good knowledge of Google Ads and social media advertising
• Be dynamic, hands-on and be customer focussed
• Have experience of website management and development ideally in a sales driven business
• Maintain excellent quality standards without comprising business efficiency
• Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop business ideas
• Be able to meet tight deadlines and react positively to change
• Have the ability to work under pressure and remain calm and efficient in a fast-moving environment
• Have an excellent eye for detail and be able to cost and budget products accurately
• Demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills to ensure product delivery is on time and to budget and to customer quality specification
• Have a valid driving licence
• Working with all social media platforms
• Proven experience of multi site sales platform development with a successful track record
• Negotiation skill and cost management experience
• An interest in horticulture and a passion for plants, is great but not ultimately necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
