Software Developer Intern - £20,000-£25,000 - Ellesmere Port

We're looking for an enthusiastic Software Developer Intern to join our Engineering team and gain hands-on experience building modern software solutions. Working alongside experienced developers, you'll develop your technical skills while contributing to real projects in a supportive, collaborative environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance simple software features under the guidance of experienced developers.
• Write clean, maintainable code while learning industry best practices.
• Assist with testing, debugging and resolving software issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Use version control (Git) to manage code changes and collaborate with the team.
• Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build your understanding of software architecture, testing, security and modern development practices.

What you'll bring

Essential

• A passion for software development and a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming and basic software design principles.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language and an interest in modern frameworks and technologies.
• Basic understanding of Git or version control concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable
