Senior Magento 2 Developer
Location: Birmingham Jewellery Quarter (Fully Office Based – 5 Days Per Week)
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Applicants must already live within a reasonable daily commuting distance of Birmingham City Centre. This is a fully office-based position, and we are not able to consider candidates who would need to relocate or undertake a long daily commute.

Hard To Find Whisky is one of the UK's leading independent premium spirits retailers, supplying customers throughout the UK and internationally.
Our Magento 2 platform sits at the heart of the business. Alongside our ecommerce websites, we've spent years developing bespoke warehouse management, stock control, fulfilment, automation and business systems that continue to evolve.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Magento 2 / Hyvä Developer to help shape the next stage of that journey.
This isn't an agency environment where you'll spend your time fixing minor bugs across dozens of client websites. You'll be working on one business, one platform and a growing suite of bespoke systems where your work has a direct and measurable impact.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
Applicants must have at least five years of commercial Magento 2 development experience.
We are looking for someone who already knows Magento 2 inside out and can contribute from day one.
Applications without substantial commercial Magento 2 experience will not be considered.
Please only apply if you have substantial commercial Magento 2 experience and already live within a reasonable commuting distance of Birmingham City Centre. Applications that do not meet both of these requirements are unlikely to be considered.

The Role
You will work directly on our Magento 2 ecommerce platform and associated internal systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining Magento 2 modules
- Building and customising Hyvä themes
- Integrating third-party systems and APIs
- Improving website performance and Core Web Vitals
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex Magento issues
- Database design and optimisation
- Supporting internal business systems connected to Magento
- Working closely with senior management on new projects and improvements

We believe close collaboration help us produce more production-ready software, so remote and hybrid working are not available for this position. .
