Job Summary

We are looking for to do 20 hours a week Monday to Friday (9:30-1:30)
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting catering operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and guest service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality and catering industry, working in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
  • Support the team during events or functions, ensuring smooth operation throughout
  • Follow food safety regulations and hygiene protocols at all times
  • Restock supplies as needed, including cutlery, crockery, and ingredients
  • Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and professionally
  • Assist with setting up and clearing away catering stations before and after events

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Experience in food preparation or serving roles within hotels or similar establishments is advantageous
  • Familiarity with guest services and maintaining high standards of customer care
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting
