Weekend Cafe Work jobs in Medway

Creamy and Bites is looking for a Weekend Barista with excellent people skills and a willingness to learn quickly. Previous experience in coffee preparation and an understanding of working in outdoor kiosk catering are highly desirable.

Key Tasks:

• Serving customers food and drinks with a friendly and professional attitude
• Preparing coffees and simple grilled food
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organized kiosk at all times
• Ensuring customer areas and facilities are kept clean and presentable

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 years of experience as a barista
• Good knowledge of basic coffee types and preparation techniques
• Understanding of food safety standards and best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions
• Experience in food preparation or catering
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for quality

Main Responsibilities:

• Punctuality and good time management
• Serving food and beverages to a high standard
• Strong attention to cleanliness and care for the kiosk environment
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
• The role may occasionally involve some physical tasks, such as setting up and taking down lightweight equipment and small platform elements, so a good level of fitness is helpful

Additional Information:

• Minimum 20 hours per week
• Pay will be at least the UK statutory minimum wage, which depends on age: from £10.85 per hour for workers aged 18–20 and £12.71 per hour for workers aged 21 and over (rates effective from April 2026)
• Our location: London SE19 2BA, inside Crystal Palace Park (please look for the Concert Cafe on Google Maps – a small kiosk)
• Work is outdoors in a kiosk, so candidates should be comfortable working in various weather conditions
• This is primarily a weekend barista position, with additional shifts available on several weekdays depending on business needs
• We operate a two-shift rota, with the kiosk opening from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 9:00 p.m. Candidates must be flexible and available to work both early and late shifts
• Candidates must be flexible and available to work weekends, bank holidays, and occasional late shifts. We are looking for someone without scheduling restrictions who can adapt to the needs of the business.
