Night Support Worker (Sleep-In) – Supported Accommodation | Flexible Shifts |

Blossom Living – Supporting Young People (16–18) Lowestoft

Are you a caring, reliable person who wants to make a real difference in a young person’s life?

Blossom Living is a Ofsted regulated provider, that provides safe, supportive homes for young people aged 16–18 leaving care or facing homelessness. We’re looking for compassionate Support Workers to join our team and help guide young people toward independence.

This role is primarily evening and sleep-in shifts, perfect if you’re looking for flexibility or additional income.

Shift times (can vary between evenings, day time cover/sickness cover/annual leave cover)

  • Evening shift: 8pm – 11pm (£12.71 per hour) then Sleep-in: 11pm – 8am (£50 sleep-in payment)

Your Role

As a Youth Support Worker you will:

  • Support young people aged 16–18 in supported accommodation
  • Help them develop independent living skills (cooking, budgeting, cleaning, routines)
  • Provide emotional support and positive mentorship
  • Encourage young people to achieve their goals and build confidence
  • Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe environment
  • Record key information and communicate with the wider support team

About You

We are looking for people who are:

  • Caring and compassionate
  • Calm and patient
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Good communicators
  • Able to build positive relationships with young people

Previous experience working with young people or vulnerable individuals is helpful but not essential, full training can be provided.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (we will cover the cost)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work evenings and sleep-in shifts
