Road Cleaning Operative (Jet Washing)

Position : Road Cleaning Operative (JetClean Environmental Limited)

Location: Birmingham (central)

Working Hours: Shift work, Weekends, Afternoon/evenings, daytime - 5 Days a week

Commercial Vehicle and equipment supplied by us.

JetClean is a leading provider of professional road cleaning services, specializing in post-reinstatement cleaning. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch, efficient, and environmentally responsible cleaning solutions that ensure newly reinstated roads are safe and spotless.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Road Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating high-pressure jet washing equipment to clean roads after they have been reinstated. This role is crucial in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of roadways for public use. A van and training will be provided by us.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate high-pressure jet washing equipment to clean and clear newly reinstated roads.

- Site clearance and drop offs. This consist of dropping and collecting traffic management.

- Remove debris, dust, and other residues from road surfaces.

- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations at all times.

- Conduct routine maintenance and checks on cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Report any issues or hazards encountered during cleaning operations.

- Coordinate with the team to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and on schedule.

- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

- Ability to operate high-pressure cleaning equipment.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

- Valid driver's license is desirable.

- Minimum age 25 years old due to insurance purposes.
