Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented experienced Housekeeper to join our team initially to work Saturdays and Sundays. Week days shifts will be available in the busier Summer and Autumn months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various settings, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests or residents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and excellent service are highly valued. The Housekeeper will play a vital part in upholding the standards of cleanliness and comfort that our organisation prides itself on.

We will only consider candidates who have experience in cleaning in a similar commercial environment. Prior experience is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces, following organisational standards.
  • Change bed linens, towels, and organise supplies as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linens to ensure availability for guests or residents.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to the appropriate department.
  • Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning or deep cleaning when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to requests or inquiries from guests or residents.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous.
  • Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests or residents.
  • Experience in cooking or customer service is considered a plus but not mandatory.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.
