Staff Nurse – Pre-Assessment
London: Platinum Medical Centre (The Wellington Hospital Outpatients)
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday - Friday, 4 days per week, 08:30 to 18:30
Permanent
Salary: Competitive DOE
We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Pre-Assessment team at the Platinum Medical Centre, The Wellington Hospital Outpatients, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.
As the largest private outpatient centre in the UK, we see more than 30,000 patients each year. Our centre brings together leading specialists, the latest diagnostic technologies and day surgeries all under one roof, with expertise spanning orthopaedic, spinal, digestive, oncology and women’s health services.
As a Staff Nurse in Pre-Assessment, you will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, working both independently and as part of a wider team. You will support the end-to-end pre-assessment process, including arranging appointments, liaising closely with consultants and their secretaries, and ensuring patients are safely prepared for procedures.
The role involves taking patient observations, obtaining full medical histories, providing medication advice in collaboration with consultants, and escalating any concerns or abnormal pathology results appropriately. You will take accountability for your own practice while contributing to a supportive team environment and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you’ll bring:
-
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
-
Experience within a pre-assessment or outpatient setting
-
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
-
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams
