Hours: 15 Hours Per Week
Working Hours: Mon-Friday 05:00-08:00
Location: Boots, High Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, B17 9NR

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner to lead our cleaning team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities.

The successful candidate will work alongside existing cleaners & oversee daily cleaning operations, manage staff schedules, conduct quality inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and motivate a team of cleaning staff
  • Allocate daily tasks and manage work schedules
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are maintained
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching
  • Monitor stock levels and order cleaning supplies and equipment as required
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety procedures
  • Report maintenance issues, incidents, or concerns promptly
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, inspections, and inventory

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good communication and organisational abilities
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or shifts if required

Desirable Qualifications

  • COSHH awareness or certification
  • Health and safety training
  • Experience using cleaning management systems or scheduling software
  • First aid certification
