Job Overview
We are seeking 2 friendly and dedicated Team Members to join our vibrant café team in our new adventure at The Old Hall Cafe & Walks Southwold.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service within a dynamic setting, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Hours will be a minimum of 16 hours per week. The cafe is open 7 days a week your shift will range between Monday - Sunday from 08:30-17:30

Duties

  • Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee and speciality drinks, adhering to quality standards
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, such as assembling sandwiches or salads as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Provide friendly assistance and respond to customer enquiries courteously
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred
  • Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
