Full job description

Tutor Doctor is dedicated to improving outcomes for school aged children. Our Hull office is one of the fastest growing in the UK and partners with schools and local authorities to support students who are absent from their mainstream setting for whatever reason. Students can be vulnerable and disengaged from education, so relationship building and mentoring are key aspects to the tutor's role.

We are looking for passionate tutors looking to make a difference and positively impact the lives of the students we support.

At Tutor Doctor we recognise that every child is unique and learns differently, and it’s our mission to ensure that every student has access to the personalised support they need to thrive both academically and socially. Our students may have SEND/SEMH needs, Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP), and may have experienced prior trauma. Our tutors form a trusting relationship with their students and tailor their approach to their individual needs..

Tuition is primarily in maths, English, and science and we support both primary and secondary aged students.

Responsibilities

  • Working to achieve an agreed educational outcome
  • Assessing and reporting on students' progress on a regular basis

Applicants must be familiar with teaching one or more of the core subjects (English, Maths, and/or Science) and have the right to work in the UK. Our tutors must have an enhanced DBS, which we can facilitate if necessary.

Tuition takes place at various locations across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
