We are seeking an Instructional Designer who is passionate about creating legendary learning experiences and has a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality blended learning solutions that put both our members and colleagues at the centre of everything we do. As part of our forward-thinking Learning & Development (L&D) team, you will use your expertise in consultancy and technical design to develop and/or lead teams to develop inclusive learning programmes that drive business growth and support our commitment to exceptional service.

This role is within Colleague, Engagement & Enablement (CEE) as part of the L&D team, which is responsible for designing, developing and delivering onboarding, upskills and holistic learning solutions for Retail and Customer Operations.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. What you’ll be doing

The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, using effective influencing and consulting skills to understand business challenges and ensure learning solutions align with strategic objectives. They will use data, insights and performance measures to identify needs, shape recommendations and evaluate the impact of learning interventions.

Working across multiple projects simultaneously, they will confidently manage competing priorities, risks and dependencies while providing leadership, direction and coaching to learning designers and wider project contributors. They will champion the design and delivery of engaging, inclusive and impactful learning experiences across a range of learning methods and platforms.

The role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, using learner feedback, business outcomes and quality assurance reviews to enhance learning solutions and maintain consistently high standards. The successful candidate will also stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools and industry best practice, helping to shape future learning capability and drive innovation in learning design and delivery across the organisation.

About you

For this role, the minimum requirements are:

• Demonstrate high levels of technical and non-technical design skills
• Have exceptional organisational, planning and resourcing skills to effectively manage multiple projects through the whole project life cycle
• Have strong stakeholder management skills and can quickly build effective relationships with colleagues
• Be a confident communicator who can provide expert and professional L&D consultancy and make credible and commercially focused recommendations
• Have a curious & analytical mindset, be comfortable challenging the norm and be a proactive problem solver, following all governance, utilising data to inform decisions and measure learning effectiveness
• Demonstrate a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, demonstrating resilience, adaptability and personal accountability.
• Have experience of optimising learning through delivery of blended solutions
• Be an effective collaborator across L&D and the wider business, establishing clear roles, responsibilities and escalation points, while acting as a trusted and credible decision-maker
