Parenting and Group Work Coordinator – 30-37 hours permanent – home based but frequent travel covering Wiltshire.

Make a Difference for Families Across Wiltshire

Are you passionate about supporting families, empowering parents, and creating positive outcomes for children and young people? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Parenting and Group Work Coordinator to lead and develop our parenting and group-based support offer across Wiltshire.

In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in delivering our vision of providing every child with the Best Start in Life. Through the coordination, planning, and delivery of high-quality parenting programmes and group interventions, you will help families build resilience, strengthen relationships, and thrive within their communities.

About the Role

As one of our Parenting and Group Work Coordinators, you will work in partnership to manage a team of Parenting and Group Work Practitioners across Wiltshire operating in Family Hubs and community buildings. You will oversee the development and delivery of group programmes that support parents, carers, children, and young people to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.

Working collaboratively with families, colleagues, schools, early years settings, community organisations, and multi-agency partners, you will ensure that support is accessible, responsive, and aligned with local needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and manage Parenting and Group Work Practitioners across the Family Hub area.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of parenting programmes and group-based interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Person following Spurgeon’s policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with schools, early years settings, health services, and community organisations.
  • Ensure a joined-up approach to family support by working closely with multi-agency partners.
  • Identify local needs and coordinate services that are responsive to the communities you support.
  • Promote participation and engagement, ensuring families can access high-quality support within their local area.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme delivery to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate impact.

About You

You will be a confident leader with experience of working with families, children, and young people in a community, education, or family support setting. You will have excellent partnership-building skills and a passion for helping families achieve positive change. You will be experienced in managing disclosures, referring cases to local authorities, ensuring staff compliance with safeguarding policies, and keeping secure, confidential records.

You will be someone who can:

  • Inspire and lead a team to deliver exceptional services.
  • Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple programmes and activities effectively.
  • Champion the needs of families and communities.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference to families across Wiltshire. By leading our parenting and group work offer, you will help strengthen communities, support families to thrive, and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people—one family at a time.
