Full job description
Casual Cleaner
We adopt an ‘anonymous recruitment’ approach to shortlisting. Recruiting managers will not have access to personal information, including your name and contact details, until a shortlisting decision has been made.
We are committed to recruiting, retaining, and developing a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Sharing your equality monitoring data allows us to assess the impact our recruitment and employment policies and practices have and gives us the opportunity to improve them where possible. Equality monitoring information is not accessible by recruiting managers at any stage.

Looking for flexible work that fits around your life? Want to earn some extra money without committing to fixed hours? Join our team as a Casual Cleaner and help keep our buildings clean, safe and welcoming across Carmarthenshire.
This role mainly involves covering cleaning shifts in schools between 3pm and 5:30pm, so it’s ideal if you’re available in the afternoon. You’ll support the service by covering staff absences, annual leave and vacancies across different sites. You’ll carry out general cleaning duties, with all equipment, products and full training provided.
Shifts are offered through an app, so you can pick up work when it suits you. This is a casual role, meaning hours aren’t guaranteed every day, but there are regular shifts available across the county.
We’re looking for cleaners who can work in areas including Llanelli, Carmarthen, Newcastle Emlyn, Llandovery, Llandeilo, and nearby locations.
If you’re reliable, punctual and take pride in your work, we’d love to hear from you.
References and a DBS are required for this role.
For an informal chat, contact Shannen Rees at SHRees@Carmarthenshire.gov.uk or 01267 228139.
