Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead Housekeeper to join our luxury 5-star holiday let business. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional attention to detail, high personal standards, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. This is not purely a management role — the successful candidate will work alongside the housekeeping team while overseeing the day-to-day running and presentation of our luxury properties.

Responsibilities

  •  Hands-on cleaning and presentation of luxury holiday let properties to 5-star standards
  •  Expert bed making and room preparation
  •  Deep cleaning of bathrooms, toilets, windows, carpets, upholstery, kitchens, and communal areas
  •  Supervising and supporting housekeeping staff
  •  Managing staff rotas, holidays, sickness, and staff turnover
  •  Stock control and inventory management
  •  Meeting and greeting guests professionally
  •  Ensuring excellent guest satisfaction and responding to guest needs
  •  Maintaining exceptional personal presentation and professionalism at all times
  •  Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company standards
  •  Refuse and waste collection management
  •  Garden and outdoor area upkeep
  •  Liaising with contractors and arranging maintenance visits when required
  •  Monitoring general property upkeep and standards
  •  Assisting with odd jobs and basic maintenance tasks where possible

Qualifications

  •  Previous housekeeping experience within hospitality, luxury accommodation, or holiday lets
  •  Strong leadership and organisational skills
  •  Exceptional attention to detail
  •  Hands-on and proactive approach to work
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •  Excellent communication and guest service skills
  •  Reliable, professional, and trustworthy
  •  High standards of cleanliness and presentation
  •  Basic maintenance or handyman skills advantageous
  •  Full driving licence preferred
