Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Window Fitter/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation and fitting of windows, as well as supporting various construction tasks on-site. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in building trades and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment. Duties

  • Assist with the measurement, preparation, and installation of windows in residential and commercial properties
  • Support the team with general labouring tasks including lifting, manoeuvring, and positioning materials
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes
  • Prepare work areas by cleaning, clearing debris, and setting up scaffolding or safety barriers as required
  • Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate fitting of window units
  • Support other trades such as roofing, plastering, masonry, or carpentry when needed
  • Maintain health and safety standards at all times during site operations
  • Assist with site organisation, including material delivery and storage

Requirements

  • Previous experience in construction or building trades is essential
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is desirable
  • Familiarity with roofing would be beneficial but is not mandatory
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
  • Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Willingness to learn new skills across different trades within the construction industry
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labour for extended periods
