Job Title: Cleaning supervisor

Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Employment Type: 40 hours Per Week

Salary: £27000

Annual Leave: 28 days including Bank Holidays

Working Rota: Monday – Friday / Hours 8-5

We are a family business that has evolved and grown over the last 13 years to achieve national coverage. In doing so, we have become a trusted partner for numerous living sector operators and asset managers, providing both hard and soft facility management services for buildings and sites across the country.

Due to expansion, we are currently looking for a dedicated Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our team on site in a newly built development at Glasgow Harbour. The site sits within a wider development surrounded by landscaped grounds and beautiful views of the River Clyde, is part of a wider community and offers a welcoming environment for residents.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner/Housekeeper to provide essential cleaning and caretaking duties across the site. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties across communal areas, including hallways, staircases, lounges, and shared communal facilities, including end of tenancy .
  • Clean both internal and external doors and windows in all reachable areas with appropriate equipment provided.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas such as entrances and pathways.
  • Regularly stock check cleaning supplies and materials.
  • Perform light caretaking duties, such as removing rubbish, clearing minor obstructions, and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with some regular pre planned maintenance checks from time to time with the appropriate guidance and training.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and site team by being approachable and responsive to their needs.
  • Support the wider site team in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with residents and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and some public holidays.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations is advantageous.
