Window Cleaning jobs in Downham Market

Please note: This is an industrial cleaning role within a food manufacturing environment. the position involves cleaning production equipment, factory areas, welfare facilities, offices, and external areas. Applicants should be comfortable carrying out physically demanding cleaning duties using industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Hours:

Permanent night shift, 10pm-6am, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to:

Hygiene Supervisor/Production Supervisors

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

This is not solely an office cleaning position. The role includes industrial cleaning of production equipment and factory areas within a food manufacturing environment.

Toilets/Restrooms

Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenish bathroom supplies. Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings. Remove rubbish.

Floors

Sweep, mop, vacuum, floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors. Remove rubbish.

Canteen/kitchen facilities

Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenish disposable supplies. Remove rubbish.

Offices/Reception/Training rooms and general areas

Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, etc. Empty wastebaskets and recyclables and transport to disposal area. Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner. Wash walls and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, partitions, sills etc.

Factory and Industrial Cleaning

Clean production lines, machinery, factory floors, equipment and external areas in accordance with hygiene standards and cleaning schedules. this role involves industrial cleaning within a food manufacturing environment and the use of cleaning chemicals, pressure washers, steam cleaners and other specialist cleaning equipment as required.

Hygiene team members must comply with safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, working at height, reporting incidents, etc).

Hygiene Team members must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned and must work to the expected standard.

Hygiene team members are required to use cleaning equipment, including motorised equipment and steam cleaners as well as access equipment including stepladders and trolley ladders as required in order to carry out their duties.

Hygiene Team members are required to wear PPE which is provided for the tasks assigned.

Work Instructions for each task must be followed and, where required, records kept of cleaning completed.

Hygiene Team Members are required to work in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Other duties as required for the operation of the business.
