Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various environments, ensuring spaces are safe, welcoming, and well-presented. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel cleaning, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as required
  • Ensure all surfaces are kept free of dirt, stains, and clutter
  • Handle specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning or window washing when necessary
  • Maintain a high level of organisation within storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Assist in setting up meeting rooms or event spaces by preparing tables and chairs as needed
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory
  • Basic cooking skills are considered a plus for roles involving kitchen maintenance or hospitality environments
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and staff
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst adhering to organisational standards
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting and prolonged periods of standing
  • A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards and safety procedures

This role is suitable for motivated individuals looking to contribute to a clean and safe environment while developing their skills within the cleaning industry.

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
