Hey — I’m Dan, the owner of Squeaky Solihull. We’re a fast-growing local exterior cleaning business based in Solihull, specialising in window cleaning and gutter clearing as our core day-to-day work, alongside pressure washing, softwashing and roof cleaning for residential and commercial customers.

Our mission is simple: To grow Squeaky Solihull into a £1m+ per year exterior cleaning business, known locally for transformational results and outstanding customer service.

We use top-of-the-range, professional equipment (much of it manufactured in-house under our sister brand Hero Softwash) — and we’re now looking for the right person to join us as we scale.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The core, day-to-day work in this role is regular window cleaning and gutter clearing on residential routes. Alongside this, you’ll also carry out pressure washing, softwashing and roof cleaning jobs as part of the wider service we offer.

You’ll start with a 60-day paid training programme, working alongside a lead technician and learning:

• Professional window cleaning (reach & wash systems)

• Gutter clearing using high-powered vacuum systems (occasional ladder use)

• Pressure washing & softwashing (driveways, patios, render, roofs)

• Safe handling of equipment and cleaning chemicals

• How to run and maintain a professional exterior cleaning van

• How to communicate confidently and professionally with customers

• Practical mechanical skills you can use long-term

Once trained, you’ll:

• Work independently in a company van

• Deliver high-quality results on every job

• Represent the business professionally at all times

• Take before/after photos and short videos for customers and social media

• Keep your van and equipment in “show-ready” condition

⚠ This is physical, outdoor work, all year round.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE

7:30am – Start in Shirley, check over the van and review the day’s jobs

7:35am – Quick morning check-in, then head to your first job

8:00am – Greet the customer and get set up

8:05am – Window cleaning and gutter clearing underway

12:30pm – Lunch

1:00pm – Regular window cleaning route, typically 8–10 homes

4:00pm – Head back, refuel and top up water - on us, obviously :)

4:30pm – Finish for the day

Every day is different — but you’ll always know what’s expected.

Working hours are typically 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

*PAY & PROGRESSION*

£25,000 starting salary

£27,000 after probation & competency sign-off

Bonuses up to £3,000 per year (performance, reviews & contribution)

Our current technician is earning £33k+ — this is a role with real progression, not a dead end.

THE NITTY GRITTY

We’re based locally in Solihull, with vans and operations run from Shirley. You won’t be stuck in an office — but everything behind the scenes is organised so you can focus on doing a great job.

You’ll be equipped with modern vans, professional equipment and proper systems, not bodged setups.

This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for someone who wants stability now and progression as the business grows.

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS ROLE

✔ Clean UK driving licence (over 25 for fleet insurance)

✔ Physically fit and happy working outdoors

✔ Reliable, punctual and coachable

✔ Comfortable speaking to customers

✔ Takes pride in their work and appearance

✔ Confident using a smartphone and WhatsApp

Experience is preferred, but attitude matters more than experience.
