ABOUT MCM CLEANING SOLUTIONS

MCM Cleaning Solutions Ltd is an SSIP-accredited specialist cleaning contractor based in Larkhall, Scotland. We deliver high-quality construction cleaning, industrial cleaning, and wind farm welfare unit cleaning across Scotland and beyond. Our teams work with some of the biggest names in UK construction and energy, including BAM UK & Ireland, Siemens Energy, and SSEN.

We are expanding our workforce to meet growing demand across new build construction sites and high-voltage substation projects. We need reliable, hard-working operatives who take pride in doing the job right.

THE ROLES — WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Working as part of an MCM site team, your duties will include:

• Builders cleans across new build residential and commercial developments (Stage 1, 2 and 3)
• Specialist cleaning inside high-voltage electrical substations — GIS units, structural steelwork, switchgear, and cable areas
• Working at height using MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) equipment where required
• Pressure washing, dust suppression, window cleaning, sparkle finishes and snagging cleans
• Following strict site safety rules, signing in/out, completing daily checks
• Representing MCM professionally on site at all times
• Ductwork and ventilation cleaning — internal and external duct surfaces, grilles, diffusers, extract vents and plenums, to pre-commissioning and pre-handover standard
• Cable trough and trench cleaning — safe lifting and reinstatement of trough lids, removal of construction debris, silt, standing water and vegetation
• Cable tray, cable ladder and containment cleaning
• Structural steelwork and beam cleaning, including high-level work using carbon-fibre pole systems and podium/GRP access equipment
• Rust, cement residue and paint overspray removal using approved chemical systems
• Industrial vacuuming using 110V backpack and wet/dry vacuum units
• Hard floor cleaning, including rotary/single disc machine work on painted and sealed floors
• Builders clean, re-clean and sparkle finishing to client specification and sign-off
• Working under permit within electrical substations, plant rooms and live construction sites
• Completing COSHH-compliant chemical use — strict segregation of chlorine and acid-based products at all times

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

ALL 7 POSITIONS:

✔ Right to work in the UK

✔ Previous cleaning experience

✔ Own transport / reliable travel

✔ Willingness to work at height

✔ Fit, physically able, team player

CERTIFICATED ROLES:

3 x MEWP Operators:

✔ Valid MEWP certificate (IPAF preferred)

✔ CSCS card (any colour)

4 x CSCS Operatives:

✔ Valid CSCS card required

✔ Construction cleaning exp. preferred

DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)

• Previous substation or industrial cleaning experience
• IPAF MEWP licence (scissor lift / boom)
• Confined space awareness training
• First Aid certificate
• Experience working in regulated or accredited environments
