About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete internal and external window cleaning to a consistently high standard.
  • Use appropriate cleaning methods, including traditional equipment and water-fed pole systems.
  • Travel between customer sites in accordance with the agreed schedule.
  • Follow all risk assessments, method statements and safe working procedures.
  • Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and presentable.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and members of the public.
  • Attend new or existing customer sites to assess window-cleaning requirements.
  • Identify the equipment, cleaning method and approximate time required to complete the work.
  • Take measurements and gather the information needed to prepare a quotation.
  • Identify opportunities for additional window-cleaning or related services.
  • Complete job sheets, quotation forms and other required records accurately.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the role.

Physical and Working Requirements

The role involves regular travel, outdoor working and physical activity. Duties may include standing for extended periods, carrying equipment, reaching, bending and working at height using approved equipment and safe working methods.

Required Criteria

  • Experience using traditional window-cleaning equipment and water-fed pole systems.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and at height where required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a scheduled workload.


Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience providing quotations for cleaning work.
  • Experience working in commercial window cleaning or facilities management.
  • IPAF, PASMA or other relevant access-equipment qualifications.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and method statements.
