Full-Time Window Cleaner – Shrewsbury

Up to £28,700 per year | Monday–Friday | Permanent Position

This is a physically demanding, hands-on job, but for the right person it offers real independence, job satisfaction and the opportunity to take pride in what you achieve each day.

Austins Window Cleaning is a friendly, family-run Shrewsbury business established in 2008. We’re looking for a trustworthy, dependable individual to join our small team for the long term.

What the job really involves

Let’s be clear – this is hard, physical work. You’ll be on your feet for much of the day, handling equipment and working outdoors throughout the seasons, including in cold and wet weather. You’ll need stamina, energy and a willingness to get stuck in.

But if you enjoy keeping active, working independently, being outdoors and seeing the results of your efforts, it can be an extremely rewarding role.

You’ll carry out residential and commercial window cleaning across Shrewsbury and surrounding areas, along with gutter, fascia, soffit and solar panel cleaning.

You’ll use professional water-fed pole systems, gutter vacuum equipment and occasionally ladders, following our safety procedures.

Willing to learn – previous window-cleaning experience is an advantage, but not essential.

Comfortable using smartphone apps – our business operates paperlessly.

Essential driving requirements
Previous experience driving a commercial van is essential.

Our vehicles range from Vauxhall Combo-sized vans upwards, so you must already be confident and experienced driving a van of this size or larger.

You must also:
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
Be comfortable driving and manoeuvring a commercial van on residential roads and driveways.
Be able to travel reliably to our SY3 Shrewsbury base each working morning to collect your vehicle.
