We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Car Valeter / Vehicle Detailer to join our fast-paced car dealership team. As a vital member of our preparation department, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are presented to the highest standard, ready for sale to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly wash and clean the exterior of vehicles, including windows, wheels, and tyres.
- Vacuum and clean the interior of vehicles, ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
- Detail vehicles to a high standard, using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
- Be willing to learn and perform machine polishing techniques to enhance the appearance of vehicles.
- Use waxes, polishes, and sealants to protect and improve the finish of the cars.
- Inspect vehicles for any defects or imperfections and report them to the supervisor.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations when handling chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and dealership standards.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in car valeting or vehicle detailing is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving license is preferred to assist with moving vehicles on the dealership premises.

As a Car Valeter / Vehicle Detailer at our fast-paced car dealership, you will not only be responsible for preparing vehicles for sale, but you will also have the opportunity to contribute to various other tasks within the dealership. 1. Vehicle Maintenance Support: Assist the service department in maintaining the cleanliness of customer vehicles that are in for service or repairs. This may involve light cleaning and detailing to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Customer Service: Occasionally, you may interact with customers when handing over freshly prepared vehicles. Provide friendly and professional customer service, ensuring their experience is positive and memorable.
3. Lot Organisation: Help maintain the organisation and presentation of the vehicle lot. Arrange vehicles in an orderly manner to maximise space and improve the overall appearance of the dealership.
4. Inventory Management: Assist in keeping track of cleaning supplies, detailing products, and other necessary materials. Report low inventory levels to the supervisor to ensure a smooth workflow.
5. Team Support: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and service, to support their needs. This may include moving vehicles, helping with event setups, or other tasks as required.
6. Training and Development: Take advantage of training opportunities provided by the dealership to further enhance your skills in car detailing, customer service, and other relevant areas.
7. Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail and consistently deliver high-quality work, ensuring that all vehicles meet the dealership's standards before being displayed for sale.
