About Humber Clean

Humber Clean is an established, family-run exterior cleaning business serving residential and commercial customers across Hull, East Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

Our services include, but are not limited to, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, fascia and soffit cleaning, pressure washing, steam cleaning, roof cleaning and solar panel cleaning.

We take pride in delivering excellent results and friendly, professional customer service, earning us hundreds of five-star reviews and a loyal customer base.

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our small team. If you enjoy practical outdoor work, learning to use specialist equipment and seeing the difference your work makes, this could be the role for you.

Previous cleaning experience isn’t essential — full training will be provided.

The role

You will work at homes and commercial premises, carrying out a range of exterior cleaning services. Your work will include:

  • Window cleaning — cleaning windows, frames, sills and doors using our hot-water, water-fed pole systems.
  • Gutter cleaning — clearing leaves, moss and debris using specialist gutter vacuum equipment.
  • Fascia and soffit cleaning — removing dirt and algae from roofline surfaces.
  • Pressure washing — cleaning driveways, patios, paving and other hard surfaces.
  • Steam cleaning — using specialist equipment to clean suitable exterior surfaces.
  • Roof cleaning — removing moss and carrying out roof cleaning treatments.
  • Solar panel cleaning — cleaning panels using specialist equipment and appropriate cleaning methods.

You will also learn to carry out other specialist exterior cleaning tasks as required and help keep company vehicles and equipment clean, tidy and well maintained.

You will initially work alongside an experienced team member while learning our equipment, methods and standards, building the skills and confidence to work both independently and as part of the team.

This is an active, physical role involving outdoor work throughout the year, including cold and wet weather.

The role involves a minimum of 40 hours per week, mainly Monday–Friday. Start and finish times vary according to the work scheduled, and you must be available for occasional weekend work when required.

What we’re looking for

  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards work.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in the finished result.
  • A friendly, professional manner with customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to follow instructions, work safely and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Good organisation and the ability to complete work thoroughly within the time allocated.
  • Willingness to learn and take care of company vehicles and equipment.
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
  • Reliable transport to and from our Brough base.

Experience in cleaning, maintenance or another practical outdoor role would be useful, but your attitude and willingness to learn are more important.

What we offer

  • £14 per hour, equivalent to £29,120 annually based on 40 paid hours per week, before overtime.
  • Lots of overtime opportunities, offering the potential to earn significantly more than the basic annual figure. Availability varies with workload.
  • Permanent, full-time PAYE employment.
  • A minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Mainly Monday–Friday working, with occasional weekend work required to meet customer and scheduling needs.
  • 28 days’ paid holiday per year, including bank holidays.
  • Full training and ongoing support.
  • Branded uniform.
  • Workplace pension.
  • The opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility as you gain experience.

Take a look at our social media pages to see our team and the work we do.
