Trainee Window Fitter

Based in Bracknell, Berkshire

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hardworking, practical and keen to develop a skilled trade and build a long-term career within a successful and established company.

The Sash Window Workshop has an exceptional installation team of 15 experienced fitters, installing high-quality timber windows and doors to the highest standards.

We have a proud tradition of developing young fitting talent and are currently looking for a Trainee Window Fitter to join our team.

The successful candidate will initially assist our experienced fitters with the installation of windows and doors, while steadily developing their skills and knowledge. Over a 2–3-year period, there will be the opportunity to progress towards becoming a fully qualified and experienced window fitter.

With experience, there is potential to earn circa £55,000 per annum.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Determination and resilience – someone who is prepared to work hard, overcome challenges and build a rewarding long-term career.
  • Reliability and commitment – the ability to start early in the morning, with a typical start time of 6:00 am in Bracknell.
  • Patience and a willingness to learn – someone who is happy to begin as an assistant, learn from experienced fitters and steadily develop their skills over time.
  • Practical or carpentry skills – previous carpentry experience or good practical skills within the building trade would be an advantage.
  • A clean driving licence.
  • Two references that can attest to your reliability, character, work ethic and practical abilities.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
