Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Shutter Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, installing, and securing window shutters to enhance the aesthetic appeal and security of residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets high standards of quality, safety, and durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of construction skills to deliver exceptional results.

Duties

  • Measure window openings precisely to determine the correct size and type of shutters needed for each project
  • Install various types of window shutters using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
  • Ensure all fittings are secure, level, and operate smoothly according to schematics and technical specifications
  • Prepare work sites by cleaning, framing, or making minor adjustments as needed before installation
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to roofing, masonry, carpentry, or electrical components that may impact shutter fitting
  • Conduct quality checks post-installation to verify proper function and appearance
  • Maintain safety standards by following protocols during all phases of installation and handling construction materials
  • Fitting will take place in the South East of England mainly London work.
  • Excellent oppotunity for an enthusiastic person

Experience

  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication processes
  • Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, masonry or plastering is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and adapt to different project requirements
  • Prior experience working on residential or commercial building sites is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills ensures successful project completion
