Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Window Fitter & Glazier to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be confident in installing and repairing a wide range of glazing products including windows, composite doors, bi-fold doors, glass doors, shower screens, splashbacks, mirrors, and Juliet balconies. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong site awareness, and the ability to work across both residential and commercial environments including schools, housing associations, and private homes.

The successful candidate must have a sound understanding of current building regulations and be able to interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately. You must be confident with all aspects of glazing, putty work, hack-outs, and the safe handling of both float and toughened glass.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace:
• UPVC and aluminium windows and doors
• Composite front doors
• Bi-fold doors
• Glass doors and Juliet balconies
• Shower screens, splashbacks, and mirrors
• Carry out hack-out work, including the removal of existing glazing and putty work
• Measure, cut, and fit both float and toughened glass in line with job specifications
• Work on-site at various property types including homes, commercial buildings, schools, and housing association sites
• Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively and safely
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion on time
• Carry out neat finishing work using mastic, trim, or plaster as required
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times
• Adhere to company policies and health and safety regulations
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients and site contacts

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Window Fitter and/or Glazier
• Skilled in handling and installing both float and toughened glass
• Ability to measure and interpret plans, elevations, and schematics
• Experience with composite doors, aluminium systems, and architectural glazing preferred
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Familiarity with putty work and traditional glazing methods is a bonus
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Comfortable working at height and with lifting equipment where necessary
• A clean driving licence is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
