Join our dynamic team as a Window Fitter, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing building aesthetics and functionality through expert installation of windows. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial sites, ensuring each installation meets high standards of quality and safety. As a Window Fitter, you'll bring your craftsmanship, technical skills, and enthusiasm to deliver exceptional results that transform spaces and delight clients.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and assess window openings to determine the correct fit and specifications for each project
  • Install, replace, and secure windows using a variety of hand tools and power tools with precision and care
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
  • Prepare work sites by removing old windows, cleaning frames, and ensuring structural integrity before fitting new units
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Conduct quality checks post-installation to verify proper operation, sealing, and weatherproofing of windows
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and materials in excellent condition for efficient workflow

Skills

  • Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in window fitting and construction
  • Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for precise installations
  • Strong background in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, welding, or construction painting is highly advantageous
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately
  • Skilled in working with various materials including glass, aluminum, vinyl, wood, and metal framing systems
  • Familiarity with safety standards related to construction sites and working at heights
  • Experience with masonry or roofing can enhance versatility on diverse projects
