Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Window Fitter will utilise various tools and techniques to ensure that all installations meet safety standards and client specifications.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and replace windows in various types of buildings.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete projects.
  • Perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper sealing and insulation.
  • Conduct assessments of existing windows for potential repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the installation process.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations during installations.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess experience in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to window fitting.
  • Familiarity with carpentry, roofing, electrical work, plastering, painting, welding, or masonry is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in window fitting or related construction roles is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot installation issues as they arise.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
