Job Summary:

Associated Windows are a family run Bristol based company specializing in the installation of quality windows, doors and conservatories in the domestic sector.

We are seeking a skilled Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Window Fitter will ensure that all installations meet safety standards and customer specifications.

Duties

  • Install various types of windows, including double-glazed, sash, and casement windows.
  • Ensure proper sealing and insulation around window fittings to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements.
  • Conduct repairs on existing windows, including replacing glass panes and fixing frames.
  • Utilise power tools safely and effectively during installation processes.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and power tools essential for window fitting tasks.
  • Experience in carpentry, masonry, painting, plastering is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work from heights safely when installing windows in upper storeys or high-rise buildings.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
