Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

  • Install and fit windows according to specifications and building regulations.
  • Measure and prepare openings for window installation.
  • Ensure proper sealing and insulation of windows to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Perform repairs on existing windows, including glazing and frame adjustments.
  • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installations.
  • Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation processes.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians for any electrical adjustments required during installation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the project duration.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to window fitting tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics related to window installations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
