The Role

NICE BOX is looking for an experienced and practical Senior Fitter / Builder to join our production team, working on the manufacture and fit-out of our bespoke container conversions.

You will take a lead role on workshop builds, working closely with the Foreman and other members of the production team to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the construction, assembly and fit-out of bespoke container conversions.
• Work from technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Undertake a variety of practical work including carpentry, fitting, assembly, insulation, flooring, lining and finishing.
• Take ownership of allocated builds and help keep projects progressing to schedule.
• Carry out accurate measuring, cutting, drilling and fitting of components and materials.
• Identify and resolve practical issues during the build process.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and finish.
• Support and guide less experienced members of the workshop team.
• Work closely with the Foreman and Draughtsman to resolve production or design issues.
• Use and maintain workshop tools and equipment correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Assist with installations or work away from the workshop where required.

Skills & Experience

• Strong practical experience within construction, carpentry, fitting, fabrication, manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings.
• Strong measuring, fitting and finishing skills.
• Good practical problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confident supporting and guiding less experienced team members.
• Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines.

Experience within container conversions, modular buildings, bespoke fit-out or manufacturing would be particularly advantageous

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
