Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of building regulations, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various materials and tools.

Duties

  • Install and fit windows according to specifications and building regulations.
  • Measure and prepare openings for window installation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and masonry skills to ensure precise fitting.
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, including frames and seals.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality of windows.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on construction projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns professionally.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Window Fitter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment.
  • Knowledge of painting, plastering, electrical work, roofing, and carpentry is advantageous. (Not strictly a requirement, however will give you an advantage)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
  • A valid driving licence may be required for travel between job sites.
