Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and repair of various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

• Measure and cut window frames to fit specific openings.
• Install windows securely, ensuring they are plumb and level.
• Conduct repairs on existing windows, including replacing glass and seals.
• Fabricate window components as needed using hand tools and power tools.
• Work closely with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless integration of windows into structures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and any issues that may arise.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to window fitting.
• Experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, or related fields is advantageous.
• Ability to plumb and build window frames accurately.
• Knowledge of plastering techniques for finishing around window installations.
• Familiarity with electrical components related to window fittings is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
