Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window and Conservatory Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows and conservatories, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction or related trades to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves working on-site across various locations, delivering precise craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.

Duties

  • Measure, cut, and fit windows, doors, and conservatories according to project specifications and schematics
  • Remove old fixtures safely and prepare the site for new installations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete installations efficiently
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure durability and aesthetic standards
  • Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good condition
  • Provide advice to clients regarding maintenance and care of installed products

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, masonry, or general building work is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, fabrication, construction painting, or related trades is advantageous
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, schematics, and technical drawings is essential
