Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented curtain & blind fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation and measuring, with the ability to use good initiatives on the fly and work with various materials. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that all window treatments are installed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Most of the work is contract related in and around the London area including the home counties.
Duties
- Install a variety of window treatments, including blinds, voiles, curtains.
- Interpret installation instructions accurately to ensure proper fitting and conduct.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Ensure all installations are level and securely fitted.
- Perform necessary adjustments or modifications during the installation process.
- Provide accurate and reliable measurements from site surveys.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process, managing and removing any mess created.
- Conduct final inspections to guarantee the quality of work meets company standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in curtain and blind fitting is neccesary.
- Familiarity with electrical components related to window treatment installations is advantageous but not neccesary.
- Experience working elevated surfaces is beneficial.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
- A valid driver's licence is required for travel to various job sites, as well as a CSCS card for access to some sites.
- Candidates will need their own vehicle suitable for transporting both curtains & blinds.
