We have an exciting opportunity for a UPVC window and door fitter to join our well-established team based in Blaydon-on-Tyne. GC Windows Ltd has a strong position within the new-build construction industry.

Our head office and factories are based in Pontypool, South Wales, and we operate across Wales and the Southwest, the Southeast, the North Midlands and the Northeast. This position covers the Northeast region and is based at our Blaydon-on-Tyne branch. You will work as part of a two-person team alongside an existing labourer, and a company van will be provided. Travel is required, so a full driving licence is essential.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity. Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 7.30 am to 1.00 pm; however, these may occasionally vary to meet operational demands. You will also be joining a positive, supportive team with a can-do attitude.

Key responsibilities and Duties

· Install plots of UPVC windows and French doors on time and in full.

· Ensuring all processes are followed in full on all aspects of the job role.

· Loading and unloading van.

· Carry out all duties in line with health and safety legislation and company policies.

· Completing all relevant paperwork.

Skills/Knowledge

· A full driving licence is essential.

· CSCS card to authorise working on site essential

· Experience in new-build construction is advantageous but not essential. Please note that all fitting work takes place on new-build housing developments.

· Effective communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
