Full job description

Overview

Join a window fitting team as a Window fitter/ mate, supporting the installation and finishing of windows on construction projects. You’ll work alongside fitters, prepare materials and help keep each task organised, safe and to specification.

Duties

  • Assist with measuring openings, moving materials and preparing work areas for installation.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to support fitting, adjustment and finishing tasks.
  • Follow drawings or schematics, check components and keep tools and materials in good order.
  • Work with colleagues to resolve practical issues and leave each area tidy. Your impact: careful preparation helps fitters complete installations accurately and gives customers a neat, properly finished result.

Experience

Required: Practical ability to use hand tools and power tools safely, follow instructions and work carefully as part of a construction team. Preferred: Construction experience, particularly window fitting, alongside useful skills in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, plastering, fabrication, construction painting or masonry. Familiarity with schematics is also an advantage.

Pay: £508.40-£1,798.40 per week
