Job Summary

Tailormade Windows & Doors Berkshire Ltd is looking for an experienced self-employed fitter to join our team for an immediate start.

We are a well-established local company with an excellent reputation for quality workmanship, honest advice and friendly customer care. With over 200 reviews and a 9.9 Checkatrade rating, we are proud that much of our work comes through customer recommendations and word of mouth.

The role will primarily involve fitting windows and doors, although experience in other areas of home improvement would be highly advantageous. This may include fascias, soffits and guttering, cladding, conservatories and warm roof installations.

This role would suit a skilled, reliable and professional fitter who takes pride in their work and is confident working in customers’ homes to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Install windows and doors efficiently, safely and to a high standard
  • Work with uPVC, aluminium and composite products
  • Remove old windows and doors carefully and prepare openings for new installations
  • Fit fascias, soffits, guttering and cladding where required
  • Complete conservatory installations
  • Complete warm roof installations
  • Ensure all work is secure, neat and completed in line with relevant building standards
  • Carry out minor adjustments to ensure windows and doors operate correctly
  • Communicate professionally with customers and the Tailormade team
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe
  • Work independently or alongside other members of the team
  • Complete jobs efficiently and within agreed timescales

Requirements

  • Proven experience fitting windows and doors
  • Full UK driving licence, essential
  • Experience fitting fascias, soffits, guttering, cladding, conservatories or warm roofs would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of installation methods, tools and materials
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Pride in quality workmanship and a professional finish
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Comfortable working in customers’ homes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Own tools preferred
  • Good understanding of site safety

Pay and Schedule
