Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window Fitter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a range of construction skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality building projects. The position requires a strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

  • Measure, cut, and fit windows according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools
  • Remove old or damaged windows safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all installations are secure, weatherproofed, and meet building regulations
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
  • Assist with related tasks such as plastering, masonry, or carpentry as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project
  • Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical, or fabrication teams when required
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during installation activities

Experience

  • Proven experience in window fitting or general construction work is preferred
  • Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, or construction painting is advantageous
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings relevant to construction projects
  • Experience working with masonry or carpentry will be considered an asset
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and work within specified deadlines
