Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, hardworking and reliable Window Fitters Mate to join our team. In this role, you will assist our experienced lead window fitter/surveyor in installing, repairing, and maintaining windows & doors across various projects.

This is a hands-on role involving assisting with the installation of windows and doors, working alongside our experienced fitter and carrying out general labouring duties whilst developing and progressing into fitting yourself.

The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop their skills.

Duties

  • Support window fitters in measuring, cutting, and fitting according to project specifications.
  • Assist with handling and operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Prepare work areas by cleaning, organising materials, loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Carrying out general labouring duties on site & in branch.
  • Assisting with installations and finishing work.
  • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard.

What we're looking for

  • Good practical and hands-on skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A professional and polite manner when dealing with customers.
  • a full UK Driving License.
  • Previous experience in window and door fitting, construction or general labouring would be an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate.
