Website & Conversion Lead (Shopify) — Freelance, 20-25 hours/month, Remote

About EverythingPadel

EverythingPadel is one of the UK's fastest growing padel equipment retailers. We process 1,800+ orders a month through our Shopify store and run a YouTube channel with over 100,000 subscribers. Most of our traffic comes from mobile, arriving via YouTube and social content.

The role

We are looking for a freelance Shopify developer to look after our storefront on an ongoing basis. The work covers theme development, conversion improvements, site structure and product data.

Each week or month you receive a task list, you work through it in your own time, and you let us know when tasks are complete or if anything needs clarifying

We use AI tools throughout the business, for drafting, coding, and creating systems. You need be comfortable and supportive using these tools as part of your workflow to work faster.

What you'll do

  • Run CRO across the full journey: homepage, collections, product pages, cart, checkout
  • Build and maintain custom theme sections in Liquid, CSS and JavaScript
  • Own site structure: navigation, filters, Search & Discovery, brand and level pages, bundles
  • Manage the product data that drives the front end: metafields, metaobjects, tags, filter values
  • Improve on-page copy: product descriptions, banners, trust signals, explainer blocks

What you need to be able to do

  • Write Liquid, CSS and vanilla JavaScript to a production standard, tested before it goes live
  • Understand Shopify theme architecture well enough to add sections without breaking existing ones
  • Think like a first-time visitor on a phone: what they need to see to buy with confidence, and what's in the way

Nice to have

  • An eye for design and conversion, not just code
  • Padel knowledge

Pay and terms

Freelance basis: you invoice monthly, and are free to work with other clients. Fully remote, UK hours preferred for the weekly check-in.

Pay: £25.00-£40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
