Join Our Growing Multidisciplinary Team
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team (MDT) on a self-employed associate basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, patient-centred environment alongside medical specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from our Central London clinic, remotely from home, or through a combination of both, while benefiting from the support and expertise of a well-established MDT.
About the Role
You will provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention for adults experiencing a range of complex physical and psychological health difficulties. The successful candidate will support patients experiencing chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, and functional difficulties that impact daily life and wellbeing.
The role also involves working closely with our pain management team to provide biopsychosocial assessment, formulation, and treatment planning for patients with persistent pain conditions. You will contribute to specialist pain pathways and programmes, supporting individuals with conditions including fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and pelvic pain.

- Deliver psychological interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated patient care.
- Contribute to specialist pain management programmes and pathways.
- Provide assessment and treatment for patients presenting with chronic pain, trauma-related difficulties, anxiety disorders, adjustment difficulties, and functional symptoms.
- Develop personalised treatment plans that promote improved functioning, self-management, and quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
- Participate in MDT meetings, case discussions, and service development initiatives.
- Liaise with external healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with adults presenting with complex psychological and physical health conditions.
- Strong assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a wider team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within chronic pain or specialist pain management services.
- Knowledge of contemporary biopsychosocial approaches to persistent pain.
- Experience supporting patients with fibromyalgia, CRPS, pelvic pain, and other long-term health conditions.
- Training and experience in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, CFT, EMDR, or trauma-focused therapies.
- Experience delivering group-based interventions and psychoeducation programmes.
What We Offer
- Flexible self-employed arrangement.
- Hybrid working model with the option to work from our Central London clinic and/or remotely from home.
- Access to a large, supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Consistent referral stream and administrative support.
- Opportunities to contribute to innovative pain management pathways and service development.
- Professional and collaborative working environment.
- Flexibility to build and manage your own caseload.
