Whether you're just starting your career or looking for a new direction, no prior experience is necessary. We’ll support you every step of the way—including helping you achieve your NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Children's Care.

Your Role as a Children's Therapeutic Practitioner
As part of our caring team and due to the nature of this position, candidates must be able to complete a range of shift patterns including days, evenings, weekends and nights.

You will:

• Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children in your home
• Work closely with our Senior Support Workers and Deputy Manager
• Support children’s personal development and well-being
• Help children build life skills, emotional strength, and social confidence
• Collaborate with professionals like therapists, teachers, and social workers to develop personalised care plans
• Use kind and calm de-escalation techniques in times of distress or crisis
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Advocate for each child’s voice to be heard and their rights to be respected
• Engage positively with families and guardians to keep them informed and involved

Requirements:

• Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma (provided after probation)
• Any experience working with children or in a care setting is a plus—but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,900.00 per year
