Full job description

Bespoke Interior Fabricator & 3D Prototyper (Custom Vehicles)

Welcome to your new career.

We’re a leading vehicle customisation, enhancement and modification specialist, known for transforming performance cars with bespoke touches — from air suspension installs and full audio upgrades to custom interiors and precision detailing. We’re now looking for a passionate and skilled Bespoke Interior Fabricator & 3D Prototyper (Custom Vehicles) to join our small but talented team.

This role suits someone who loves problem-solving, takes pride in high-quality workmanship, and thrives in a creative workshop environment.

The Role

We are moving away from traditional mechanics. For this role, we need a specialist creator who looks at a blank vehicle interior like a piece of custom sculpture. You will spend your days turning design concepts into physical, high-finish interior panels and bespoke cabinetry.
This role sits at the intersection of traditional hands-on craftsmanship and modern digital manufacturing.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Bespoke Cabinetry & Woodworking: Designing, cutting, and assembling custom interior panels and furniture from scratch using MDF and lightweight ply.
  • Composite Fabrication: Shaping, moulding, and finishing custom interior sections using fiberglass and structural body fillers.
  • Digital Prototyping: Utilizing 3D modeling/CAD software to design custom brackets, clips, and interior components.
  • Modern Workshop Tech: Operating and maintaining 3D printers and laser cutters to manufacture your digital designs.
  • Interior Integration: Performing neat vehicle interior strip-downs and seamless reassembly of your custom fabrications.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Elite woodworking, joinery, or cabinet-making skills (Automotive experience is a bonus, but high-end material manipulation is the priority).
  • Proven experience working with fiberglass, resins, or similar composite materials.
  • Functional knowledge of 3D printing slicing software, basic CAD modeling, and laser cutting machinery.
  • An obsessive attention to detail with an organized, clean approach to a workshop environment.
  • A strong portfolio of physical things you have designed, cut, and built yourself.

What We Offer:

  • A creative, fast-paced workshop environment working on exciting, high-end builds.
  • Ongoing training, development, and progression within the business.
  • Clean, modern prototyping tools (3D printers, laser cutters).
  • Opportunities to attend premier automotive shows.
  • Free on-site parking, sick pay, company pension, and employee discount.

Hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00–17:30
  • Friday: 8:00–16:30
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Location: Broughton Astley, Leicester

Salary

£26,000–£32,000 per year, depending on skill level and experience.
Full-time, permanent position.

Benefits

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
